Internet Web Cam Therapy
Video cam therapy requires you to have a video cam and microphone on your personal computer (pc). The interaction occurs with you in front of your pc and the therapist in front of theirs. You speak through the microphone and can see each other via the web cam on your monitors.
Videophone therapy requires you to have a video phone which works on any regular analog phone line. (For an example of a videophone click here)
This is not yet seamless technology so be advised that the sound and/or picture may be choppy. This is a way for those who have tight schedules, have large travel distances or for those who cannot leave their homes to receive counseling service as close to being there as we can technologically allow at this time.
Cost:
$13.71 per 15 minutes
The fee is less than what it costs to come into the therapist’s office.
